About The Almanac
The Almanac is a hospitality and resort management company focused on creating memorable stays and distinctive experiences across our properties. We believe great hospitality deserves great storytelling, and visual content plays an important role in how guests discover, experience, and remember our destinations.
We are looking for a Video Editor with 1–3 years of experience who has a strong visual eye, a good sense of storytelling, and the ability to transform raw footage into engaging content that captures the atmosphere, experiences, and character of our properties.
Roles & Responsibilities
Edit engaging videos for social media, digital campaigns, websites, property showcases, brand films, and promotional content.
Transform raw footage into compelling stories that showcase our resorts, destinations, food, experiences, people, and hospitality.
Create short-form content such as Instagram Reels, social videos, teasers, and campaign edits, as well as longer property and brand videos.
Work closely with the marketing, design, property, and content teams to understand briefs and translate ideas into strong visual narratives.
Handle the complete editing process, including footage selection, sequencing, transitions, colour correction, sound design, music selection, titles, and final exports.
Create simple motion graphics, typography animations, titles, transitions, and branded elements when required.
Maintain consistency with The Almanac’s visual identity and ensure every video reflects the premium hospitality experience of the brand.
Adapt videos into multiple formats and aspect ratios for Instagram, YouTube, websites, advertisements, and other digital platforms.
Organise footage, project files, audio, graphics, and other assets to maintain an efficient content library.
Stay updated with trends in hospitality, travel, lifestyle, social media, and video storytelling while ensuring the content remains authentic to The Almanac.
Eligibility & Skills
1–3 years of professional experience in video editing, preferably in hospitality, travel, lifestyle, food, fashion, or related industries.
A strong showreel/portfolio demonstrating video editing, storytelling, and visual sensibility.
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and working knowledge of Adobe After Effects.
Good understanding of colour grading, sound design, music, pacing, composition, and typography.
Ability to create basic motion graphics and animated titles.
Strong understanding of content formats and editing styles for Instagram Reels, YouTube, digital advertisements, and other social platforms.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain quality across multiple projects.
Good organisational, communication, and collaboration skills.
Ability to take ownership of projects and work independently from brief to final delivery.
A genuine interest in travel, hospitality, lifestyle, architecture, food, and visual storytelling is a plus.
What We’re Looking For
Someone who can look at raw footage and see the story within it. You should have a strong sense of timing, mood, music, movement, and emotion, and understand how to make a resort or destination feel aspirational without losing its authenticity.
If you enjoy creating beautiful visual stories and want to help shape how guests discover and experience The Almanac, we’d love to see your work.
